Data Services team is an integral part of Analytics & Digital Development unit. Our team is deeply involved in Freight business development and digitalization. You will have a chance to participate in interesting projects and work with extremely diverse and vast datasets. We will commit to enhancing your expertise with training, courses, and certifications.
This is what we are looking for:
- Knowledge of SQL + experience in data analysis with Python or R
- Understanding of data structures and databases
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Applicable higher university degree (Tech. or Econ.)
- Ability to take initiative and be innovative
- fluent English and work proficiency in Finnish
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services, especially Databricks (Spark), is a plus
- Understanding basics of OOP
- Experience on preparing Power BI reports
You will be required to support and communicate with operations and business professionals, understand demands and transform needs into optimized services. You need to be able to use your expert knowledge in the field of data science to create algorithmic business logic. As a data scientist, you will gather data from multiple sources and prepare it for end usage, such as machine learning models and reports. You will also work with other teams on cloud platforms to provide solutions for internal and external customers.
You will be working closely with internal and external colleagues with very different backgrounds, so we expect strong collaboration skills. We are looking for someone with an open mind, the ability to take initiative, share their views and challenge opinions. You are also ready to work with diverse technologies and adapt to rapidly changing environment.
Our Digital Development unit includes experienced developers, analysts, and other software professionals. We work in a flexible way in agile teams. You get to work with exciting and ambitious projects. Data services team will also be in close contact with ICT and external consultants.
